Ms. Wendy Mize & Mrs. Jennifer Marquez Back to Gilmore Elementary

My son had Mrs. Mize last year and absolutely LOVES her! Wonderful teacher and friend!!

Mrs. Marquez is a kind and wonderful teacher. She would not allow any harm to her students. Things are not always black and white, there must be decisions based on common sense and good judgement. A skill that CCISD admin.'s should use on this issue.

Ms. Mize is my daughter and I can personally tell each and every one of you parents, and CCISD administrators that she loved and took the time to KNOW each and every student she has had. She found the students weakness and built them up to make it their strength. When a child felt defeated, she found a way to bring them up and show them they could do something and were valued. She gave of herself and gave the students self-confidence and love. If a child hurt, she felt it and showed compassion. It is a very sad day that something like this is allowed to happen to two very upstanding teachers. I truly feel there is a much deeper problem at that school and they are taking the fall. Wendy has continually had children PLACED in her classroom year after year that were hard to handle and needed the guidance she has to offer. Not only that, SHE CARES! Wake up CCISD. Thank you all for your support of my daughter. I am very grateful. A. No one knows the whole story. B. Look very carefully at the sources from where the injustice begins.

My kids have Mrs.Marquez and Ms.Mize. They are wonderful teachers. I love them!

Mrs. Mize was my daughters teacher last year. I got to know her as a teacher and a person. She was always professional, putting the children first, and her interest in each child as an individual was obvious everyday. She could talk to me about my daughters strengths and weakness in detail, as if she had known her her whole life. That kind of interest, defication and not to mention abity to teach in different ways to address students different needs... YOU CAN'T lose that because of one incident!!!

These teachers have been Gilmore's most dedicated and strong teachers. My son was in a classroom where he felt important, loved, and cared for. The majority of these students came from a disasterousa previous year. These students were tough on a good day. They were all left behind the year before. They came in struggling with school, home, and most of all teacher respect. Wendy Mize reinstilled this in every last one of these students. I am appaled by this harsh treatment on Gilmores best!

For all of you leaving this wonderful comments, if you haven't taken the time to write a letter and submit it to the Superintendent and to our board of trustees representative, please do. Examples of the exemplary teaching abilities and superb interactions with our children illustrate why we need these experienced ladies back. Mrs. Marquez is my child's teacher - she has made extraordinary leaps in learning this year. I would love for her education to get back on track!!!

These ladies are fabulous teachers and the kids depend on their presence in the classroom. Get them back in the class where they belong.

this is a disgrace! we have been here just over a year having moved from philly and private school. ms Marquez helped make my son's transition smooth as well as my own. she needs to be in the classroom doing what she does best....teach! the bonus is you get a wonderful loving caring person too. I'm deeply upset for her and ms mize.

Get Ms Mize back in the classroom!!

The obvious solution is to reprimand the teachers. How can a school district EVER justify comprising childrens' education to prove a point? I cannot speak for Mrs. Marquez, but I certainly can speak for Ms. Mize. She may very well be the most passionate and committed elementary teacher I have ever met. We have felt SO privileged to have her teaching our 3rd grader (who is now wants to homeschool if Ms. Mize does not come back). Our family is no stranger to teacher's leaving and CCISD board decisions - our Kindergartener lost her teacher in the first week of school, likely under similar circumstances. Our baby endured nearly 3 months of subsitutes before a permanent teacher was found. I am 95% certain that CCISD would not be able to fill Ms. Mize's position with someone of matching caliber. So, I view this state of affairs as a huge, potential tragedy and plan to look for every way I can to thwart an outcome that harms another of my children and Gilmore school.

I was in Mrs. Mize and Mrs. Marquez's class 7 years ago and I can honestly say they have been some of my most memorable and honorable teachers. They have helped me become the person I am today. These two awesome ladies love and would never do anything to harm their students. They should not be blamed for something that the front office is responsible for. Let them teach!!

These are two of the most amazing people, teachers, and mentors and they bless children and families more than this district could imagine. I can't imagine what life would have been like without these ladies in my daughter's and her best friend's llives. praying for justice!

I represent the parent involved and can assure everyone that he did indeed have not only the legal authority but the advance permission of the other parent to have possession on the day on question. This is absolutely ridiculous.

After further review....this get's even more sick. Looking into online court records, it seems 100% clear that these two ladies are victims of retaliation by a certain individual who's court hearing a day before this occurred didn't go in her favor. I'm appalled that CCISD will appease this FEROCIOUSLY wicked person over retaliation.
