As many of you know Mr. Shaw, the guidance counselor at Freedom High School and cross country coach, is a great asset to Freedom. All of the kids on the Cross Country team love him and his wife Ms. Kelly who is an English teacher at Freedom. They are always upbeat, encouraging, while motivating the kids in a positive way, keeping the team united and just being the great people that they are. The experience Mr. Shaw gives the C.C. team is by far outstanding compared to other experiences with other sports. Mr. Shaw and Ms. Kelly are professional, love teaching, working with and motivating students. You can just see it when you are around them. Most of the students in the school know Mr. Shaw through counseling and seem to have a lot of respect for him. Anyway, some parents think he would make a great AP at Freedom and that Freedom needs to have counselors/teachers like him in AP positions. There is an open AP position at Freedom for this year \'08-\'09.
