Plant City and Walden Lake residents have an opportunity to partner with a thoughtful development team to redevelop the aging Walden Lake community thanks to a comprehensive plan that will complement and enhance the quality of life for current and future residents and begin an exciting, much-needed new chapter for Walden Lake.
The development team is committed to creating stability for the Walden Lake community, and has actively been working with residents since day one to incorporate its suggestions into their plans – from the types of amenities to the number of new residences.
They are partnering with award-winning homebuilders to offer much-needed new home choices for Plant City’s growing workforce. In addition, a planned neighborhood Village Center will provide a central gathering place for residents to enjoy shopping, dining and other neighborhood services and amenities.
THE TIME IS NOW
Redevelopment of this community has failed before. Without action, the community will continue to deteriorate. Now is the time to turn the page and start a new chapter for Walden Lake that not only elevates the neighborhood, but the entire Plant City community.
VOTE YES ON REZONING
A reimagined Walden Lake will help Plant City continue to grow in a smart, sustainable fashion with desirable, new housing choices for Plant City’s budding workforce, as well as ensure compatibility with the community’s surrounding neighborhoods and small-town charm.

Walden lake has been looking rough for years now. Really hope this actually happens this time.
LONG OVERDUE. tired of seeing the old property falling apart.
Yes! Plant city needs this so bad. My kids need a place to grab food closer to home.
Love the idea of a village center. We really got nothing out here right now.
Fix it up. Its way past time for an update around here.
