Our childrens education suffer every time the school is closed for voting. Working parents are forced to make alternative arrangements for childcare. Education settings should not be forced to close for public use.

Ridiculous to close school for polling day when children have missed so much already. Use a church hall or similar instead.

I can’t believe that after all that the children have been through, and the amount of education they have missed, WBC are still insistent on using the school as a polling station. It’s a disgrace!

Hard to believe that an alterative venue can't be found.

Every part of society is expected to modernise apart from policitics. Get with the times and either rotate voting venues or choose a non school venue!!! Not hard with lots of town halls and other venues empty most of the time!!!!

It’s appalling that they children’s education is being disrupted again especially given how much time has already been lost in the past year. There are plenty of alternative venues that can be used

All the children have already lost more then enough of school time. Surely there are plenty of community centres in the area that can be used as polling centres.

Our children have suffered enough disruption and do not deserve to lose any more days. Find an alternative, there are plenty of businesses with idle premises

Taking into consideration the need for centrally located, easily accessible sites the persistent use of his singular location demonstrates a need to discuss alternatives.
If the dates cannot be moved to a weekend, which in itself would resolve the issue entirely, other suitable locations in the immediate area need to be considered.
Additionally, this school is part of a larger trust. Asking the trust to alternate usage of its schools within the area would reduce the regular impact on a single one.

Could the voting day be moved to a weekend or even start later in the day to allow the schools to open or partially open.

My child is now in Year 6 and EVERY year that she has been at the infant or junior school it has closed at least once a year for polling. It would make far more sense if the school was on a rota basis with other schools or even better still no schools used for polling. We are consistently told that school is important, except when there is any election! There are dozens of buildings that would be suitable alternatives especially this year as they are not utilised fully or at all. This also means that at least one parent/carer per family must be available to look after their children. Wake up WBC, work with Bracknell Forest if you need to find a suitable venue that is not within the borough boundary.

Given the impacts of the pandemic on the education of our children it remains illogical and unacceptable to continue to use Oaklands school for polling when alternative locations within the Crowthorne Parish can be used. Continuing to use the school and further depriving our Children of the education opportunity that they deserve and have already missed so much of cannot be justified.
