Most parents work a full regular hours work day for on Wednesday and can not incur extra cost of daycare for only 90 mins on a Wednesday. However, a lot of parents have more felxible hours on Fridays which allows them manage care or pick up their children. Wednesday early release is s big inconvenience to most!!!!

Norterra Canyon parent. I agree 100% that the Wednesday is much harder for parents, myself included, than a Friday early release.

Many parents would benefit from Friday early release. Many parents work 4, 10's so that they can pick up their child on Friday and not have to pay daycare. Avoid middle of the week stress on so many working parents. Many jobs will let parents work more hours during the week to get off early to pick up their child on a Friday. There's not always daycare available for one day a week.

Friday would be so much easier with work schedules and not disrupt the children’s week the same way as Wednesday.

Having early release on Wed is not beneficial to our children or parents- Friday is the best day for early release period! It is easier to make accommodations on Fridays if parents are unable to get off work early to pick up their kids

Friday’s work the best for working families. Giving our teachers the opportunity to collaborate is very important and they should have the time however, it should not put a burden on families that can not afford one days worth of childcare. Most preschools in our area have three day minimums for enrollment and the ones that don’t, charge $45 per child, per day for their “drop in” rate. That would cost families an extra $380 a month if you only have two children. Many families have more than that! Becky Nunes

1/2 days on Wednesday’s is too hard for working parents. It’s much easier to make accommodations on a Friday. This will also keep absences down as many families use these Fridays for trips and if we stick with Wednesday’s many will extend the trip from Wed or take Fridays too etc...

Yes Friday! Wednesday is unacceptable and my kids will withdrawal from Deer Valley is not changed
