We do NOT want apartments. Especially not low rent ones. We are already crowed and lack infastructure and amenities.

The schools can’t handle the number of students they currently have, they certainly don’t need this many more!

As a homeowner I do not want to have a low rent complex in my community. This will be a detriment to our community.

Just moved in this area a few months ago. With all the new housing being built and now this. Traffic is going to be more congested on Blue Diamond. This is not what I moved to Vegas for.

2 points I'd like to make.
#1 — No Public Transportation. There are already apartments at Cimarron and Blue Diamond that are not at 100% occupancy partly due to a lack of public transportation so it makes no sense to add more rental apartment inventory. The closest bus stop is 4 miles away and there are no plans to add a line on Blue Diamond and Bus Route 121 on Durango ends at Warm Springs (4 miles away) and has no plans to extend the line south at this time.
#2 —Roadways can't accommodate an additional 150+ vehicles. Since Blue Diamond is a divided highway at Quarterhorse, all vehicles will have to access the property site via El Capitan to the east or Ft Apache to the west, putting more traffic to already stressed neighborhood streets.

My family moved to Mountains Edge because it was a safe place to raise a family. The rise in apartments equals a rise in crime. I didn’t move here for that. Mountains Edge should be a family home community keep the apartments by the freeways

We opposed high density housing a few years back when they wanted to place it off of Durango and Peeble. Moving it a little further west and south does not change the fact that this is the wrong area for this type of housing.

Just FYI there is not a lot of Section 8 housing in the SW part of Valley. Check it out for yourself. https://www.gosection8.com/Section-8-housing-in-Las-Vegas-Clark-NV/ Homeowners/investors can get far more per month for rent than Sec 8 is willing to pay.

Not enough food stores and infrastructure to spport such high density land use. Crime has already risen with the high density zoning that has already been approved and built...:(

NO more low income housing in the southwest. Section 8 is slowing depleting in mountains edge as investors are taking their profit and families are moving in. PLEASE do not allow this to occur.

Mountains Edge is a Master Plan community filled with single family homes. No need for low income apartments.
