I have been hearing from so many of you about how exhausted your kids are after sitting in class all day. This extra time for them to play and clear their minds is such a small change that would mean everything for their focus.

Seeing this kind of energy for my daughter and her classmates has truly caught me off guard. It feels like people finally understand that our kids are completely burnt out and need this extra time to just be children.

10 minutes is honestly not even that much to ask for. my brain is fried by lunch every single day.
we seriously need this. sitting at those desks for so long is killing me.

I think fifth grade really deserves more recess. We work so hard, and we have harder work. The little kids always get rewarded for doing the little things but we don’t for the big things. And getting more recess will get rid of all of our energy.
