Final supporters
Miller Park currently has 4 pickleball courts available for an increasingly large and diverse group of players (between 30 and 50 people showing up for regularly scheduled times). The court space could easily accommodate 6 pickleball courts if a new design were used when the courts are resurfaced later this year.
I am a pickleball player who regularly uses the Miller courts. I urge the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department to take advantage of the necessary resurfacing to expand the number of pickleball courts at Miller to 6.

The Parks Department has not yet responded to our initial inquiries about the resurfacing plans. It is time to turn up the pressure so call the department office today and demand a meeting on this project. Post this link on your neighborhood Facebook group to ensure our neighbors know about the potential for six courts.

Please note the wait time to play 1 game can be 15+ min. PB is fastest growing sport in US, And this summer All Community courts are closed to PB. Most of us prefer to play outside all year. Covered courts would b fantastic!
Potentially 24 PB players versus up to 8 tennis players would provide more exercise for more folks
I would play at Miller Park more if the wait times for Pickleball were shorter. Having 6 courts would really help. We will bring our own nets for the additional courts.
The Miller courts are the only ones available to the Capitol Hill and North Capitol Hill neighborhoods.
6 pickleball courts can easily fit in the space and since the city will resurface this summer anyway, let's make the most use of the space for as many players as possible.
Please help us improve our pickleball. These courts are crazy busy.
