Due to poor planning and lack of a water supply to manage the needs of current residents, this is a petition to immediately suspend New Home Construction that has not been permitted.
This moratorium will last until the county is capable of supplying water to residents in an amount to allow for current and future properties to irrigate at a rate to sustain lawns, pools, etc. and not restrict usage that impact property value.

I spent the entire morning staring at the empty water meter on the edge of my lawn and thinking about how we are still just pouring concrete instead of fixing the actual pipes. People keep sending me messages about their own brown grass and I just want to say that it really is not just you even if it feels like that sometimes.

I really did not think this would gain this much steam but look at us now. It seems like everyone in the neighborhood has finally reached their breaking point with the water pressure issues and honestly I am just relieved that somebody is finally listening to why we can't keep building houses without fixing the pipes first.

County has the ability to monitor each property owner's use. If they over water then restrict them, those of us with wells should not be affected, that -is why we put them in to have nice lawns, etc.
No new permitting - residential or commercial - until issue is resolved or a viable plan put in place to resolve the issue.
We have so many empty buildings and homes that are not being kept up take care of those first before new housing is built. Stop letting big business take our water resources for their profit.
the construction trucks aldo go fast on the limestone roads causing compete white out. We need to water our yards , my area is particularly arid.
If we can't support the growth of the community, then we need to make some changes before we allow for more growth.
The water is disgusting, it is taken from a well, and chlorine is added. We could have hooked our own wells for free!
Firmly believe that current water usage figures are misleading and incorrect. Let's get the facts straight before we judge anything.
