We the undersigned believe that the division of Nursing should present students with an opportunity to have a frank and open discussion about placement preferences for year 4. In May 2010 year 3 students on the MNurSci course were presented with the opportunity to voice their preferences for their specialist and management placements for the following academic year. Subsequent to this we have been informed that we will no longer have this opportunity and that despite the fact that we have submitted these preference forms, they no longer stand. We would like to use this petition as a method of communicating the student views to the relevant authorities. All student views and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
