Charles Mitchell Hannah Corporal I CO, 3RD BN, 7TH MARINES, 1ST MARDIV, III MAF United States Marine Corps Whitesville, West Virginia March 13, 1948 to June 16, 1968 Mitchell was the only actual Whitesville resident who gave his life in the Vietnam War. We have a petition going around to name the Whitesville bridge in his honor. For those of you who haven't signed it, PLEASE sign it online, stop by the shop or the local stores! Thank You so Much!!

Long overdue. He gave everything for us. He deserves to be remembered every time a car crosses that bridge.
