We, the undersigned, believe Miranda Stone should be able to walk for graduation this December 2015. Due to a family tragedy, Miranda was not able to be present during our summer semester, but is committed to completing her degree in Spring of 2016. Despite her circumstances, Miranda maintains her dedication and love of social work, embodying the resilience we often discuss.
We feel it is consistent with the spirit of Tulane University School of Social Work and social work values that she be included, supported, and recognized for her efforts alongside those with whom she has displayed the same courtesies. Our graduation ceremony would not be complete unless Miranda Stone walks with us.

I feel she deserves to walk across the stage with the class she started with. She has already experienced a tragic loss and even though this won't make up for what she has been through it will give her a sense of hope in her ability to carry on

Allowing her to walk completely supports social work beliefs. Not only that, but she feels like a member of our cohort and shouldn't be penalized because of a family tragedy.
