I am a concerned citizen, who is worried about the current state of the Mineral Mountain deer herd. I have reached out to biologists, wildlife conservation groups, and have decided it is worth attempting to get the Mineral Mountains, along with the Bald Ridges south of Minersville; removed from the Beaver unit, and made into its own unit. I believe in doing so, the herds that currently occupy these ranges will be better managed for their needs. this new unit will stay a general season unit, also tag numbers may change to better suit this herds current numbers to help reduce hunter crowding and pressure on the animals. Antler restrictions may also be implemented to help the herd rebound. Based off of who I've talked to, and have gotten information from; with YOUR help there is a great chance we can make these much needed changes. We have to try something, not everyone will agree with these changes but we should all be able to agree something needs to be done! PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE!

Don't know much about it BUT, If Jalen Jones says we need to do it, WE NEED TO DO IT !!!
Used to hunt these mountains every year back in the day and the population is nothing like it was. Something needs to change before its too late.
SO NEEDED. The crowding is getting ridiculous and the deer are really struggling out there lately.
If we could find a way to save the several deer hit by cars in this area. Along with these changes I think it would help them greatly as well.
Never seen the minerals deer herd as bad as it is... this is definitely a step in the right direction
Deer heard is very poor.

I think this is a great idea. I may not live there but I grew up there hunting these areas and I spend every chance I can there and spend lots of time on the Minerals. They split the unit up to get rid of the elk on the this area to make it better for the deer. They need to make the herd better.
