This petition is to gather support for Graves County Seniors enlisted in the military to receive red/white/blue cords for graduation. Please spread the word so we can show the site based council that these seniors deserve to be recognized this way for going above and beyond for their country!

I have been hearing from so many former students who wish they could have worn those cords when they walked across the stage back in the day. It makes me realize this is about way more than just one graduation ceremony because these kids are promising their lives to something bigger than school and the council needs to understand the weight of that sacrifice.

Look at these numbers climbing because it really hits home how many people care about our seniors prepping for enlistment. If we can just break that hundred mark before I head over to the council office then they will have a much harder time ignoring us.

Having a brother that joined the Marine corps as soon as he graduated I believe that these men and women should be honored for their decision.
This is especially important in current times when there are, sadly enough, Americans that do not support our US Military. Please, as a vet, consider changing this practice to allow the support indication. Thank you!
Please give the boys the recognition that they deserve. Before they will be growing up quickly into a man that will be out to defend our country and freedom. This coming from a proud military family!
As someone who graduated high school enlisted in the Navy, I think this is a very important thing to do. Whether reserves, active or how many years their contract is; they took an oath to defend this country. It'd be crazy to not allow them to take pride in what they do!
I am an alumni of GCHS c/o 2000. Then there was not a military program for students nor were those recognized. It brings me joy to know there is one now. I am proud of of future service men and women. They deserve to be honored and recognize by wearing red, white, & blue cords.
Support these kids
Their civil rights are being violated, and this school knows no shame!

They need to give the cords to the graduates as one who did graduate from GCHS myself and have many friends and family in the service I think it's time for the school to do more then just say their name give them the cords!!
