Put simply, Michael Turner is not only one of the greatest Atlanta Falcon running backs of all time, but all-around players. Turner was signed onto a team in 2008 that many pundits thought would compete for a number 1 overall pick, but instead were legitimate Super Bowl contenders up until the wildcard loss to Arizona.
Between 2008 and 2012, Michael Turner was the bedrock for what would become the greatest 5 year stretch in franchise history. With Michael Turner spearheading one of the most dominant offenses of both decades, he led the entire league in carries in both 2008 and 2010. Not coincidentally, those seasons combined led to two playoff births and 24 total wins.
In 6 seasons with Atlanta, Turner finished every single season with double-digit touchdowns. In 2008, He averaged over 100 yards and 1 touchdown per game in route to a first team All-Pro season.Turner is the Falcons all-time leader in rushing touchdowns, and with over 6,000 yards rushing as a Falcon, is less than 600 yards away from Gerald Riggs as the franchise's all time leading rusher. As a Falcon, he was All-Pro twice, a two time NFC rushing leader, and an NFC rushing touchdown co-leader.
While the Atlanta Falcons have kept the Ring of Honor prestigious and limited, there are few former players who are more deserving than Michael Turner. On the field, Turner let his play do the talking and was known as one of the most bruising runners in NFL history. I urge the Atlanta Falcons organization to rightfully recognize Michael "The Burner" Turner.

Michael Turner deserves the ROH! He was crucial to the success of the Falcons for years. He was the backbone that let Matt Ryan grow as a QB. He deserves this!
