We the undersigned are asking the City of San Clemente, CA to change the laws and regulations regarding parking on Vista Hermosa, east of Turqueza. We are asking to allow for parking one hour on school days during drop off (7:30 - 8:30) and one hour on school days during pick up (1:45 - 2:45). There simply isn't enough parking at the school and on Turqueza to allow for parents to walk their children to and from the classroom. In addition, we feel by allowing for parking on Vista Hermosa during these times, we could also alleviate the drop off and pick up congestion which is also bothersome to the residents of Marblehead. Many parents volunteer their time in the classrooms and on the playground, and ticketing them because they are parked on Vista Hermosa while they are helping our children get an education, just isn't right.
