I agree windmark is no big success story ,and the whole deal with the public boat ramps is appalling. We need details and a lot more than vague descriptions and empty promises, we also all want to protect out small hometown community for the long term not just a rush to get something new going that will longterm possible ruin our town of all our families and children.

I completely agree, city leaders need to demand more information and consideration to this proposal before they agree to it. There is the previous history of the Company and their performance as well as too many unknowns.
The increase in the acreage is also a concern.

No!! Don’t do this to our little beach town! I can just imagine the traffic on 95 and how it will resemble the overcrowded commercialized beach down the road.

When dealing with the power player St Joe Company, MB beach officials need to slow down, ask lots of questions and get legal representation as well as input from organizations like the Natire Conservancy, who have experience bringing St Joes kingdominium aspirations back down to earth (see for example, St Joes Summer Camp development in Sopchoppy, another ghost town).

Keep the original agreement with less density. Their dog an pony show is about there bottom line (MONEY). MB will be changed and not for the better.

Horton project in Windmark, the Mormon project to the north of Mexico Beach and the normal growth of this area we are talking about too many people in too small a place to maintain our "Mayberry By the Sea" environment,

The key word in all of this is “annex.” Meaning that The City of Mexico Beach will annex all of that property and once all the homes and businesses are built it will generate a lot of tax revenue for the city. That potential money will be hard to resist for the city leaders, no matter how honorable their intentions may be now.
Mexico Beach is a tiny little town that has been completely destroyed by a hurricane and they need revenue like a baby needs milk.
For the record I am not for it, but this is the kind of thing that I was afraid of happening after the hurricane. I love our little town the way it was. I don't want it to be some cutsie, yuppie, fake, beach resort town.
Please keep Mexico Beach weird and funky.
