The East Hants corridor area is constantly growing, the population since around 1961 had more than doubled by 2011 alone. As you can easy see on a day to day basis just driving through our community our roads are incredibly busy and it is not uncommon to have traffic jams during "rush" hour. The number of large residential buildings being built in the Lantz-Enfield area is a testament to how much the population has increased since 2011 alone. The need for public transportation to Halifax/Dartmouth is evident.

I am gathering all your comments on the daily traffic congestion to present to the transit planning committee. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall today. Send a direct email to your local councillor asking them to prioritize the extension of the MetroX route.

We just hit a massive milestone that proves the demand for a MetroX line is real. Post this link on your social media channels today to ensure the transit board pays attention. Take five minutes to email your local representative and demand they prioritize this funding.

Less traffic, less accidents, less emissions, less time stuck in traffic. Time could be spent reading, emailing or chatting with someone you never would have met before
as a visually Impaired commuter, it would help so much in having this bus come to enfield, I would not have to pay 40$ in taxi fees to catch the bus at the airport just to go to work! My sons would be able to get to Fall River or halifax for sport activities!
I would love to be able to take transit to work from Enfield to Dartmouth. It really makes no sense to drive to Fall River then take the bus and no park and ride at the airport. I am sure the expense of going one more exit would be more then worth it as the ridership would increase dramatically!
For those of us who don't have a license, or students looking for part time work, to those that are seniors, who can no longer drive a vehicle, and with the growing population of the East Hants area, a public transportation system is much needed.
I use to travel from Elmsdale to the airport just to take the bus to Halifax for 6 months. It saved me from having to pay $15 a day in parking. It was hard to find parking at the airport in the winter time. It just makes sense if it came to Elmsdale/Enfield. So many people would use it, it would cut down on the traffic for hwy 102.
good for work options
A bus would be a wonderful addition to our community.

It would certainly make the commute to the Universities more manageable for our youth if they had the option to use public transportation.
