Metro sells "live rainbow trout" which are live fish crammed into a tank, sometimes so many that they don't even have space to move around and they DON'T FEED THEM.

I walked by the tank one day and noticed all the fish were opening and closing their mouths, a sign of hunger, and just out of curiosity I asked the employee, "Do you guys feed the fish?" and he answered. "unfortunately we do not, because then they will use the bathroom and we will have to clean the tank." That is inhumane, and I cannot understand how that is okay? If you cannot clean a fish tank, you should have no rights to have fish. I know they are not pets, but they are still animals and they have the right to eat even if they are about to be bought, (which they shouldn't even be there, the not live fish they sell is more than enough, HOW SPOILED ARE WE??) why should the last of their life be spent crammed in a small tank starving for maybe days? Should they suffer because you don't want to clean the tank? That's justified? To elaborate on that, I have seen them floating upside down in the tank trying to turn back over and they're helpless.

Until they are bought to be eaten (if you want fresh fish, go fishing....) they are still alive and deserve to be treated properly.

SO FEED THEM AND START CLEANING THE TANK or stop selling live fish.
