On behalf of the Class of 2016, we believe that we should have been given the ability to vote on where we would like graduation to take place. The consensus has been that it is preferred to graduate at Nicholson Stadium, so that we may remain at home in Methuen, and spend our final moments on a brand new field that has been home to many of us over the course of this year. All we are asking for is the right for our voices to be heard, and for the School Committee and Superintendent to reconsider their previous decision. It has been tradition for decades to graduate at the stadium, and we would like to continue that tradition and show some Ranger Pride

I think that our graduation should be held on our football field because a lot of kids have memories on that field... I have cheered on that field all of my high school career. I've been waiting to graduate on that field since I was a freshman

I am the parent of (2) MHS graduates, Classes of 2011 and 2015. My daughter graduated from the Tsongas Arena last year because the students did not have a choice. Class of 2016 you have a choice and a voice! Let it be heard...Bleed Blue!!

As being apart of class of 2016. I hope we get to graduate here at MHS for the convenience and to end our long journey where it began. Also being the first class to graduate in the 100% remodeled building including the stadium is a huge honor.

As a former student who graduated in 1968, I find this absurd! What are these students going to tell their future generations? We graduated from Methuen High but we were forced to have our graduation in a town that is miles away without regard to our families being able to attend. Ridiculous!

From a cchs alumni graduate it only makes sense to have Methuen High graduate in Methuen. Lets remember it was in lowell last year because of the field conditions. Now that the field is perfect bring it back home

Its unfortunate that students have to ask permission to hold their graduation ceremony at the school from which they are graduating. Nicholson Stadium is where we graduated and celebrated our achievements. Respectfully, a MHS Class of '89 alum Go Rangers!

I just want to point out the School Committee has no say in the decision. It is strictly the Superintendent and the the Mayor's Office that decides that. Also for this to happen girls should not be able to wear heels , because it will damage the field. We also need to have a tarp that is required for these types of events, which I heard cost about 60,000 dollars. I support this cause and wish nothing but the best for the students at Methuen High. GO RANGERS!!!!
