Congressman Weiner,
According to the Department of Motor Vehicles cars on Queens Boulevard struck and hurt an average of 100 pedestrians and bicyclists a year from 2000 to 2005. Queens Boulevard is known to be the Boulevard of Death. Fifteen pedestrians were killed in 1998 alone.
Although Pedestrian fatalities are down to about one a year, this past February my friend, Asif Rahman, was killed on the boulevard riding his bike. In effort to keep pedestrians safe, my friends and I are demanding a bike route.

RIP Asif. Way too many people lost on this road. Put the paint down and give us some space.
