Our Roads are a disgrace. The Government should spend for the next 10 Years all the receipts from Car /Lorry Tax and Vat on Car /Lorry Insurance on Mending the Roads. Unemployed people who are capable of manual work should be employed to do this work.

About time something was done. The car tax is way too high for roads that look like they belong in a war zone. put people to work and fix the tarmac.
