So far I haven't noticed any benefits from paying this fee and it keeps on increasing... We don't earn enough and the college hasn't advocated for us enough to make a difference.

This is utterly crazy. The CECE does nothing for its members. Plus with the cpl telling strangers MY goals. I know my goals and see no need for it.
We are a lower paid and they want more money from us.

This is so ridiculous a increase for what? Do you help us in a crisis? NO! Do you penalize us in a crisis? Yes makes no sense to me what we are getting out of this. Recognition of what, I have not seen any in 35 years.

It's concerning that without adequate pay raises for ECEs in Ontario, this increase is another barrier for the profession. I am also appalled with the College putting a spin on this increase and being dishonest with members when they say that it's the lowest professional fee in the province... in comparison to what other professions? Teachers, nurses, etc. who earn a significant amount more than ECEs? If the average ECE wage is calculated into a percentage based around their fees, the ECE wage is actually very punishing in comparison to other professions and the percentages of their salaries. Shame on the College.

To be one of the lowest paid professions and having to pay into a college that provides no concrete support to it’s members, only stipulates more work for RECE’s and withdrawing money that we don’t have to give. It’s insulting and something needs to change.
