The City of Griffin is hiring a new managing director for our downtown's Main Street Program. I think it is time to put a Griffin citizen in this position - someone that has spent years investing in the businesses and activities of Downtown; a person with relationships all over the city; that loves this town, wants to see it succeed and grow, and has the administrative experience to get the job done. That person is Melissa Tober and she has applied for the job. Let's tell the City that we want her in the Main Street Program. Your input is your right as a citizen and I personally do not see the Main Street program producing beneficial outcomes for Downtown Griffin without a committed local person at the helm. This petition is to communicate to the City of Griffin that the Downtown Griffin Stakeholders care about who is in charge of the Main Street program and we want it to be Melissa Tober!
