The town of Medway is considering implementing tuition free full day Kindergarten for all children beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. Medway Residents for Full Day Kindergarten is petitioning the School Committee, Finance Committee and Board of Selectman to financially support this initiative. The lack of response from the committee is frustrating but it only confirms that we need to keep pushing for our children. I spend every evening drafting new arguments for the next session because the current situation for families in this town remains untenable.

Full day K will benefit everyone. The current system holds ALL kids back...neither full day nor half day can reach potential. Half day doesn't have enough time to meet expectations and full day has to be held back so as not to get too far ahead of half day! Making the system will benefit everyone!

Its about time Medway caught up with other towns. Tuition is way too high and it puts a huge strain on working families. Keep the standards high and make it free for everyone like it should be.

Let's make this part of the core curriculum as opposed to the mostly de facto standard it is today. It'll be better for the kids.
