Dr. Murthy is exactly who we need right now. Tired of politics getting in the way of real public health experts.
Vivek Murthy is a highly qualified candidate. His stance on firearm safety falls is consistent with his role as the leader of public health. Firearm safety is a public health topic, regardless of how you think it should be regulated. I expect my head public health official to address firearm safety from a scientific standpoint, rather than pretend it is not a health issue.
Qualified and ready to work. Get him confirmed already.
Politics should not be involved in confirming a consensus-pick for the top qualified physician to lead our nation

He has the support of all the major health orgs for a reason. Lets get someone in there who actually knows medicine.
