The Elkhart County Board of Health has officially rescinded the mask orders and declined to implement vaccine mandates. I am grateful to the 593 individuals who supported this effort to preserve medical autonomy. We will remain observant to ensure these principles of personal choice continue to guide our local policies.

We, the People of Elkhart County, call on each member of the Elkhart County Board of Health, the Elkhart County Local Health Officer, and each member of the Elkhart County Board of Commissioners to rescind all mask orders and reject all proposed vaccine mandates.
As self-governing citizens, we require our officials to honor informed consent, medical privacy, mask choice, and vaccine choice without fear of discrimination or reprisal for ourselves and our children.
As a signer of this petition, I affirm that I am 16 years old or older and that I (a) am a resident of or property owner in Elkhart County and/or (b) have a vested interest in these issues through friends, family, church/place of worship, or academic institution and/or (c) am a business owner or employee in the County or a frequent visitor to the County in an official capacity.

Please get the masks off our faces. I ha e been keeping track of the cases and we are way down. I work in a school and kids are complaining of headaches and as soon as their mask is off, they are fine. When is the end game?????
We own 2 business both are essential. I was lucky. ALL BUSINESSES should be essential. I was in the trenches every day since February. I saw fear in people's faces in the beginning because of the unknown. Now its downright anger and it's widespread. I talk to people who despise everything but won't talk about it publicly for fear of losing their job or business.
As a nurse, I have already had to fight against mandatory vaccines in order to keep my job. I cannot believe that this loss of rights has occurred here in this country. Safe & effective? I have seen many cases where this is not so. This is a battle of good against evil! Please no more masks....and surely no more mandatory vaccines!
I know from experience that these masks is what’s making so many people have sinus issues this yr. I refuse to wear one because they make me sick. Headache, sneezing , and dizzy are only a few of the symptoms I have personally experienced. So tell me how that can be healthy?
I have worn my mask by my own choice but I support everyone's right to choose what is right for their families. That is what makes America! Freedom.
from a veteran to the American people, we didn't fight and lost lives for freedom so it can be taken away.
I refuse to take a vaccine and refuse to wear a mask. I will not comply.

We “flattened the curve” long ago and COVID is no longer an emergency. The General Assembly should have been called into session in the first two weeks. The mask mandate is a breach of our constitutional rights and an overreach of governing power. Please rescind it immediately and stop forcing businesses to implement it - let us and them choose!
