We ask that our elected School Board Representatives respect the rights of the parents to make decisions for their children. We ask that the school board adhere to Governor Younkin’s second Executive Order reaffirming parental rights.
This petition is not whether you personally desire to mask or unmask but rather affirm that parents have the right to make decisions for the health and care for their children. Whether that is to unmask, mask, double mask, vaccinate, booster, practice distancing or even isolate that it is their fundamental right as a parent to make those decisions. The school board shouldn’t be making personal health decisions that they are not willing to be responsible for the outcomes.

* you prefer to wear a mask BUT agree that everyone should be personally responsible for their own health and the health of their family

I have been reading your messages about how difficult this school year has been for your children and it confirms why this fight is so necessary. We are continuing to press the school board to respect our authority as parents because these health decisions belong in our homes rather than in a district office.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me that I am not alone in my fight to protect my child's right to breathe freely. It is heartening to know that so many families in our community believe the choice for our children belongs in our own hands.

Enough is enough. The board is overstepping their bounds. Give the choice back to the parents.
If people feel safer with a mask on they can still wear one but dont force the rest of us to comply.
My kids hate these things and honestly it is time to get back to normal. Let parents decide what is best for their own kids.
Thank you for doing this. My son has had such a hard time breathing in these masks all day at school. It needs to stop.
