The Supreme Court ruling on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) allowed states to opt of the law's Medicaid expansion, leaving each state's decision to participate in the hands of the nation's governors and state leaders.
Idaho: Gov. Butch Otter (R) on Jan. 7, 2013, in his state-of-the-state address said Idaho would not expand Medicaid. The state House and Senate both hid away from talks of expansion for two years. The People of Idaho have been demanding our state government to expand the medicaid program to low income individuals and families. This petition is for individuals and voters of Idaho to sign and together in one loud voice say to the State Legislature that we want this! After petitions are gathered, I will present them to our Representatives on both sides of the Isle. If this doesn't get far, I will push for a Proposition in the 2016 election.
My husband works full time and we still cant afford decent insurance. This is ridiculous. People are literally dying because of politics. Do the right thing for once.
