Dear Governor Scott and our Florida Legislators,

We the undersigned residents of Florida stand firmly and strongly against the expansion of Medicaid in our state under the Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

In the current structure, Medicaid spending in Florida is already an unsustainable fiscal liability. The fiscal liability of expanding Medicaid in our state will compound this burden and will quickly outgrow any promised funds from the Federal Government. Any expansion of Medicaid in Florida will also further increase the financial burden of future generations of Florida residents.

We strongly believe that continuing the proposed expansion of Medicaid is not only fiscally irresponsible, but does not solve the issue of quality, affordable care for all people through a balanced free market approach.

Governor Scott, we respectfully request that you reconsider your proposed expansion of Medicaid so we can all concentrate our efforts to improve the fiscal integrity of our state and provide a better quality of life for all Floridians rather than saddling us with further financially unsustainable entitlement liabilities.

Our Florida State Representatives and Senators, please follow the lead of the voters in our fine state and the continue the fight that Florida started against ObamaCare.  Refusing the expansion of Medicaid is key to this fight.  You can stop this.  We are counting on you!

Please be advised that the undersigned Florida residents will remain engaged and active in the legislative process working to stop any expansion of Medicaid in Florida under, or in conjunction with, the Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Stop the expansion! We need to focus on real jobs not more entitlements that end up costing us way more in the long run.

Finally someone doing the right thing. My healthcare premiums are high enough without adding more people to the rolls.

NO! We do not want this here. Look at what those other states are going through now. Absolutely not.
