DMU Leicester Riders Basketball Club, one of the founder members of the English Basketball League, poorly supported in the opinion of our fans, it is true basketball in England isnt recognised as a main sport, unlike in the U.S.A. where the roles are reversed, e.g. Football, England is solely obsessed with Football, which is financially wealthy, while English Basketball is poorly financed and sponsored, Leicester Media have constantly bombarded us with football, football, football, which in all fairness, there has been poor success from the team this season, unlike the DMU Leicester Riders Basketball Club, this season are flying high in the league and have made it to the final of the BBL Trophy to be played Feb 5th 2006 at the Coventry Skydome, the local Media for Leicester being, Leicester Mercury, Leicester Sound Radio, BBC Radio Leicester, we really need you to support us and recognise that we have a successful basketball team again locally in Leicester, the voices of the fans we hope you will show us more of your support
