We the students of Meadowvale petition to change the “4 to a table” regulation in the library. Too many times have we been working on a large group project or having an educational discussion, when we are interrupted by a librarian or a supervisor that ask people to leave. This changes the work environment entirely and reduces productivity levels, which may even lead to a decrease in learning. The cafe has always been suggested as an alternative, but the cafe is far too loud for any productive work to be accomplished.
If request is ignored, please consider opening the flex room to us during lunch for bigger group work for more people. Thank you!

I have been hearing from so many of you who lost hours of project time because of these rigid seating limits. I am currently drafting a proposal to present to the administration that suggests opening the flex rooms as a practical solution to this problem.

Seeing so many of you jump on board helps me realize I am not the only one frustrated by being kicked out of the library when my group is just trying to study. This movement has quickly become something much bigger than just my own struggles with finding a place to work.

The cafe is way too noisy to actually get any studying done and library staff are always hovering over us. We just need more than 4 chairs for our bio group.

It's a good idea, and I would love to be able to use the tables for group projects.
All we do in the library is try to study, and sometimes the bigger the group the better for more ideas and such. telling us to go elsewhere could only discourage us.
This has been a rule since forever so I doubt they’ll just change it. I suggest groups to get a signed note from ur teachers to authenticate group members and that u guys are there to do work and not just dick around. Xx.
