We need your help! Per Davidson County Planning and Zoning we purchased 1103 Holly Street with the understanding that our land use was OR20 which permitted office or residential land use. It is now our understanding that the current MDHA overlay that is in place trumps that zoning and only allows for our property to be a single family residence.

Combined, we have lived and worked in East Nashville for 28 years. We are very proud of our restored space and are equally as proud of all the families we have helped with buying, selling, building or renovating homes for in the neighborhood we love. Please help us keep our office by reaching out to our councilman, Peter Westerholm at [email protected] and copying me on it at [email protected] so I may have a record, share with our attorney and also MDHA.

To recap, by signing this petition or sending Peter an email you are asking that MDHA, our councilman and district support keeping the OR20 zoning in place by Davidson County and amending the 5 Points Redevelopment Land Use to allow OR20 zoning for 1103 Holly Street.

Updates

April 24, 2014

The feedback from our neighbors confirms that this office is a staple of our local community. Email Peter Westerholm at [email protected] to demand that our OR20 zoning remains protected. Copy me at [email protected] on that message so we can track our progress.

The momentum is building and it shows that our neighbors understand why keeping this space as an office is vital for the community. Email Councilman Westerholm right now to demand he supports OR20 zoning for our property and copy me on your message so we can track the pressure. Post this link on your Facebook page to make sure our representatives see that we are not going anywhere.

Total nonsense. 28 years in the area and they get treated like this?? Do the right thing MDHA.

Ridiculous red tape. Let them do their jobs. East Nashville needs to support local business owners not push them out.

I really hope this gets fixed. The office looks great and they have done so much for the community.

Government overreach at its finest. They bought the place legally so let them keep their office.

This is ridiculous. Leave these people alone they have been a part of the neighborhood forever.

Fix this zoning mess before it ruins a good small business!
