McDowell County Schools need a full time county Athletic Director for it’s Middle Schools and High School

McDowell County Schools in Marion, NC needs to hire a full time Athletic Director to oversee all athletic aspects at the high school and middle school levels. This woulld allow an individual to work towards bringing better training programs, facilities, and more scholarship opportunities to the student athletes in the county. Operation Open a Door for athletes especially less privileged athletes. We are asking all current and former McDowell County residents to help us to make a recommendation to the county and school board members

The Coaches need this full time support. Coaches already have a full time teaching position, In addition to their teams. Let’s allow them to have additional full time support which would and is provided from an Athletic Director. Let’s show NC Schools we do care by putting our words into action.
My name is Gary Bass Jr and I am an alum of MHS. I am currently the Head Football coach at Quincy University. McDowell High is behind and needs to give these kids the best experience possible. This position needs to be full time and Donnie Suttles needs to be hired for the sake of the athletic programs at MHS and the junior highs.
