We want to collect names to show that others also believe that canceling the MCAS this year would help students feel less pressure in having to get a good score on their tests. By signing this petition you are conveying that the mental health of the students should come before test results. Taking the MCAS test is really not beneficial for the kids. If anything, making children do the MCAS testing adds more unnecessary worry to students who are already stressed out during this pandemic. My son is already burnt out from zoom school. This is the last thing he needs.
CANCEL IT. we have enough on our plates right now with the virus and grades
kids are already struggling enough with remote learning, forcing them to sit through these tests makes no sense this year
The MCAS although a decent standardized test would be devastating to any school system where the students have had a full lack luster year full of pressure and depression because of the pandemic not only that but the seemingly lack luster education would call for the MCAS to be cancelled or at least pushed to 2021-2022 school year.
