Dear Fr. Supervisor, Principal,

The Class of 2018 would like to express our opinion and sincere hope on restoring the bell to the old one after the last lesson on the 2nd of March 2018, the last day of the Secondary Six, making it the bell that signifies our departure from the school.

The old lesson changing bell was in use since our very first day in Rosaryhill Secondary School, although it has been changed to a different bell later, many of us still express how they miss the old bell often and would give anything just to hear it once more. The last time the old bell rang was also on the last day of the Secondary 6 last year, even when we were informed that they will ring the old bell, some of us still got emotional and nostalgic. The old bell contains our memory when we were younger, when we were less stressed under the senior secondary school curriculum. It would be a perfect end to our school life if our memory can be brought back by ringing the old lesson changing bell just once more.

We understand this sudden arrangement may bring some concerns to the school, we fully understand and would like to hereby give some suggestions. To lessen the confusion of the junior form, who have never heard of the old bell, the school may make an announcement through the PA system in the morning of the 2nd of March, letting them know beforehand. Moreover, we especially request this only because we experienced the transitional period of the school. With the absence of mindfulness in the first three years of our presence in the school, it is not abnormal that we are still attached to the way it originally is and wish to end our school life just like how it began. This will not turn into a tradition as gradually, the current bell would be a norm and we are only asking since it was in the majority of our time here.

The Rosaryhill Secondary School that we know is a very understanding and open-minded school with an excellent bond between the school, its personnel and its students. As it will be our very last day in Rosaryhill Secondary School, it would be best if we can end it in the most memorable way possible, we would be grateful if the school can fulfil our wish for the very last time.
