Please do not make our kids wear masks this school year. It is child abuse to expect our kids to sit all day and have to wear thaws things. If you are able to goto any store, mall, movies etc and not wear one why would we make them wear them at school. Kids are less likely to get Covid and have complications from getting Covid. PLEASE UNMASK OUR KIDS!! They deserve some normalcy this year.

There are too many studies and doctors saying that masks are ineffective. Children NEED to see each other and their teachers to understand how to communicate through basic body language and learn communication skills through natural, unmasked, faces. There is no evidence suggesting that masks have prevented the virus or that children are in danger if they have contracted the virus.

Last year they wore masks with “breaks”- a virus doesn’t stop during a break. Ridiculous. Let masks be optional, though they will need to monitor for bullying from teachers and students on this issue. With the mental health and development of our children at risk, social distancing and masking must end. I just hope they go about this in a smart way, putting the children first.

I agree with the comments previously posted. My biggest agreement is that with masks our children are losing some very important social skills. Masks have not been proven to save lives. Studies have shown children are the least susceptible of this virus. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be wearing the mask. Let's get past this once and for all!!!

This masking has gone too far. It was only meant to be worn by the infected, not by healthy people who are not COVID positive. Unless they have an underlying health condition, children are much, much lower risk of hospitalization or death from this, let alone transmit it. We've been through more deadly pandemics than this in the past and we never wore masks in public places, nor did we lockdown our country and economy. There's no excuse for this. This is more of an act of subjugation that an act to protect public health. Enough is enough!

Kids are not at risk for serious illness from Covid 19. Masks inhibit their ability to breathe, learn, and socialize. Masks are psychologically and physically harmful. The science does not support that it stops the spread of Covid 19. The choice to have children wear a mask should be left up to the parents.

Make masks optional

Child abuse, do not make medical decisions for the parents their kids their right!
