The corona virus has led to a complete lockdown in the UAE and neighboring nations, effectively bringing all jobs, businesses and markets to an absolute standstill. As a result, parents are losing jobs and are being put on unpaid leaves. This petition asks Manipal (MAHE) Dubai and Dr. SV Kota Reddy Academic President to reduce and/or refund the tuition fee and transport fee as students are either way not availing any of the facitlities in the university campus such as the classrooms, gym, library or the professors. It is only fair that there is a reduction in the semester fee. In times of such a pandemic, the university cannot be claiming money for services that are not delivered. The students of Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai are petitioning to waive off at least 25% of the tuition fee for the current semester for those students whose livelihoods have been affected.

My dad is currently on a pay cut and we are still paying for labs and transit we dont even use. This isnt right, they need to adjust the fees while we are doing everything from home.

Seriously?? We arent even on campus right now!! How can they justify full fees when the library and gym are closed. This is just greedy.
