I fully support the campaign and hope to see the Fire Station restored to its former glory in the near future.

For too long Britannia Hotels have let this fantastic building to decay, it is now time to take this iconic building back into public ownership and put it back to use by the people of Greater Manchester

This is very important to me as my Father was leading fireman and fought through the second world war and I was born at Mill Street 1942. My father the late William Lennon cleaned the windows as a young fireman of this wonderful building. My mother the Artist Frances Lennon just celebrated her 102 nd Birthday this September in St Joseph's home Manchester. I now live in Spain but would be very sad to see this building go. Frances Rolye.

I moved to Manchester 6 years ago to study architecture at university. During my time spend academically and socially I have become well aware as a collective, time and time again we allow architectural gems like the London Road fire station to be controlled, dictated and ultimately changed beyond recognition by the powers that be.
Quite frankly it is disgusting that such an iconic building has fallen is to such and state of disrepair - I fully support the efforts of this petition and hope that we can give this magnificent building a new lease of life well away from commercial incentive or demolition.

Shocking to lose such a beautiful building - when they have gone you can never get them back!
