Unusual historic buildings are what give places, such as Manchester, character. It would be foolish to destroy it and replace it with bland modern architecture when it can be re-purposed and become an asset to the city.

I've always thought it sad to see the neglect of such an impressive building but I'd no idea about Britannia's ownership. What are they doing, blocking its development by competitors? Shocking.

This Building is part of Manchester's and Britain's heritage and should be brought back to a beautiful and useful condition. Its history alone should ensure it keeps a place in Manchester's future... I have many Fond memories of this Building during my fire service training during the late 1970's and would be saddened to see this beautiful architecture go to waste
