I worked at the Fire Station many years ago and we used to hold the Fire Brigade Society meetings at the rear of the secretarys office. Through the arch and up the first set of metal stairs on the right. This beautiful building needs to be saved maybe a Fire Museum there are a lot of people who worked there and could help with its History.

The neglect of this iconic building is nothing short of criminal, as someone who served there I am appalled at Britannia hotels inaction.

That this important and beautiful building is allowed to rot is shameful.

This beautiful building is in a strategic position for visitors to our city plus its close proximity to the university campus and the prospective students who come here from home and abroad means it is one of their first sites on arrival at the train station. It needs saving!

It would make a beautiful boutique hotel, bar, club, health club, boutique shops. They definitely need to do it up, it's such a beautiful building x

Britannia are waiting until it is too late to repair the building. What a prime site for a new hotel. Disgraceful, they must be stopped from destroying such an important piece of Manchester's heritage
