We, the citizens of Manchester, NH, demand that BOSC adopt the standards that were created by Dr. Stotsky in collaboration with Massachusetts teachers, which brought Massachusetts to number one in education in the country. Our children deserve the best, these are proven to be the best and we are demanding the best.
The Citizens of Manchester, NH, have been completely ignored by the Mayor and Board of School Committee (BOSC) in our clear opposition of the proposed, Manchester Academic Standards (MAS). We understand fully that these standards are little more than Common Core State Standards. In fact 88% of the overall standards are common core. High school math is actually 100% CCSS. Math experts have come forward citing the deficiencies of these standards and explaining that we are setting our children up for failure.
Please sign this petition, take control over our children's education. Remind these elected officials who they are supposed to be representing and whose children these are. We need to do what is right for our children and for the city as a whole.

Reaching this point has been a long and draining climb but seeing so many of you join this effort keeps me moving forward. The officials in this city still refuse to look us in the eye yet this growth proves that they can no longer pretend we do not exist.

My daughter is struggling so much with this new math. It makes no sense at all and I am sick of the school ignoring parents.
