I completely support a dog park and allowing dogs in our parks. But to use the Taylors Lane site "for the exclusive use as a dog park" is unreasonable and will never fly.

I live next door to this site. And believe me, nothing would make me happier to see a place for dogs to run and play. But this is NOT the place. It has nuclear waste under the membrane. This site was the former town dump. It is NOT fit for humans or animals. I have lived next door for 20 years and my father and grandfather owned the station at the corner of Taylors Lane/Boston Post road for 66 years. My relatives knew what was dumped there, I saw it as a child. My cats are indoors because of it. A dog park is a superb idea, but in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM should this be considered if you love your dogs. Please reconsider, I BEG YOU.

The park is underused during much of the day and with the coyotes out, it is no longer safe to leave our dogs in our own gardens. The park is a safe way for us to bring both our children and dogs to the park at the same time so that both will be supervised.
