In the UWF campus, there are tons of recycling bins. However, these recyclables do not get taken to a recycling plant. Instead, they get taken to the dump. All waste from dumpsters end up in the ocean eventually. Help avoid that by asking SGA and SEAS to allow the plastic being collected in the recycling bins to be used for 3D printing and the aluminum cans to be taken to an actual recycling plant.

Seeing this kind of energy building behind fixing our campus waste problem leaves me feeling truly hopeful. It confirms that I am not the only one frustrated by watching our plastic pile up in the trash instead of finding a new life. This momentum shows that we are ready to hold our administration accountable to better practices.

Using plastic for 3D printers is actually a smart idea. Better than letting it float in the ocean.
