It is to be noted that seniors at other North Shore schools have the privilege and choice to wear their own clothing to school each day, installing a sense of pride in being in their final year at their respective schools. Yet, Albany Senior High School, one of the most progressive and academically advanced institutions in the area, does not encourage students to have pride in their own self-expression in regards to appearance while attending their school. Thus, this petition aims to seek out those that wish to establish confidence and pride in ASHS's Year 13 students by allowing them to have the choice between wearing their own clothing or wearing the school uniform on a daily basis. Full school uniform would still be a requirement for formal occasions.
