I will not be participating in this program. And do not want to be forced to pay for it. Starting this spring our family will be feeding all of our food scraps to our new backyard chickens.

I do NOT plan on using this new service and I do not want any more trash cans to store. I also do not want to pay for a service I have no intentions of using . This service needs to be optional, not mandatory.

I have been composting in my yard for years. I don't want to be charged for something I would never use.
Moreover, there are a lot of people who still don't know how to paper/metal/plastic recycle correctly and will probably not organic recycle correctly either.

It is silly to mandate composting. Some of us do not have enough compostable waste for it to even make any sense, economic, or otherwise.

I have been composting in my yard for years. I currently recycle a larger amount than I throw away in the trash. I will never use this. This is a city governing poorly.

We have a garbage disposal in our sink, and we also compost some food products already.
This must not be made mandatory. Let those that want to use the service, be the ones that pay for it.

I think it’s perfectly fine to offer this as an option to the residence, but to force them to do it by automatically adding a tax to the quarterly utility bill is just not reasonable. Let individuals decide whether or not they want to participate. I don’t need another container there’s no way I would be able to significantly impact this. In the course of one week, my garbage half fills the 30 gallon receptacle. How much of that you think would go into an organics recycling bin? Enough is enough. Let the residents decide whether or not they want to participate and stop holding a gun to all of our heads!

We have 4 houses next to each other and there are a total 6 people in these 4 houses. We have very little waste, maybe because of our age. Most have single car garages. We already have yard waste, garbage, and recycle bins. We do not have any room left for more bins, My food waste for one year could probably be put in one paper bag. Make it optional.

There are already too many heavy garage trucks driving around Edina, which shortens the life of our streets and pollute the air. Before adding another truck, let's put out a request for bid and have one company win Edina's garage business.
