Final supporters
We ask that our elected School Board Representatives respect the rights of the parents to make decisions for their children. We ask that the school board adhere to Governor Younkin’s second Executive Order reaffirming parental rights.
This petition is not whether you personally desire to mask or unmask but rather affirm that parents have the right to make decisions for the health and care for their children. Whether that is to unmask, mask, double mask, vaccinate, booster, practice distancing or even isolate that it is their fundamental right as a parent to make those decisions. The school board shouldn’t be making personal health decisions that they are not willing to be responsible for the outcomes.
Please sign this petition if any of these are true for you:
* you believe parents have the right to make decisions for the health and care of their children
* you prefer to wear a mask BUT agree that everyone should be personally responsible for their own health and the health of their family
* you do NOT agree in wearing mask because you believe mask have been proven ineffective in preventing and slowing the spread of COVID-19

I really thought this might just fizzle out in the noise but seeing the way people are showing up lately is honestly kind of shocking in the best way possible. It turns out so many of you are just as tired of the overreach as I am and it makes the frustration of these board meetings feel a lot less lonely.

It's a shame that it's come to this. The school board has exceeded its authority. EO-2 "reaffirms" parental rights...yet our board not only voted to IGNORE an executive order --- they (through the "enforcement" of their decision) seek to compel parents to join them in disregarding it.
End mandates! No scientific data supports the need for mask wear, which for children is actually detrimental. Stop abusing children.
I believe parents have God given duties and roles to make medical decisions for their own children!! The government nor the school systems should have NO SAY, in such matter.
It is well beyond time to allow for this option to give our kids the ability to breathe freely. Be brave, think critically, and stand up for these students who have suffered so much the past 2 years.
Washing hands and good hygiene along with staying home if sick is the way we’ve always dealt with flu. The same should be with Covid too!
It’s should be parents responsibility to make sure our children are safe and have a choice on wear or not to wear a mask. It’s our freedom and we need to decide for ourselves.

The School Board needs to stop parenting our children and stop letting the teachers/superintendent run the show and simply focus on education.
