Sign here if you want to support chico state in making a memorial for the mechoopda tribe for losing their land to build chico state.Did you know chico state is built on the mechoopda tribe village.So if you want to have a memorial for the mechoopda tribe sign our petition to have chico state to make a MEMORIAL !!!!When Chico State was being built they found more than 400,000 artifacts. In 1806 when Chico State was still being built they found 158 individual skeletons nearly 2,800 bones. The mechoopda were the first people in this area until the settlers came.
