Hello Fellow Real Estate Agent,

I have created this petition to help voice the concerns of the Maine Real Estate Agent in the field.

Maine Listings is going to be rolling out another lock-box program that you as an agent will invest hundreds of dollars into with no vote on weather you want them.

Please sign this petition if you are an agent in Maine that DOES NOT agree with the new lock-box system.

Totally against the new Lockbox system! We, especially as Independent Contractors, should always have a choice. Geting back to basics on this issue is the way to go. The money this will cost as a whole can definitely be used in a better way!

Making this decision for us telling us how to run our business while digging into our pocketbooks was unfair. I feel we should have been informed and made part of the decision rather than having it shoved down our throat with no say. I vote NO on the new boxes.

I have driven 40 minutes each way to listings with dead battery lock boxes and had them frozen shut when exposed to the weather.

The fact of the matter is that my phone is not "app"licable and I have no intention of buying a phone that portends to be "smart" just so that I can open a lock box. My current phone is quite smart enough thank you.

This is a solution looking for a problem. Very disappointed in the lack of communication by MREIS . Mechanical lockboxes work for the majority of listings.

i have used the mechanical lock boxes for 17 years and never had a problem. they quote safety issues as a reason to us the electronic boxes. show me some stats of agents going into homes w/out permission or theft or vandalism. it doesn't happen.

I feel that they should have given us the opportunity to voice our opinion. It's just another way of taking our hard earned money. I don't like to be pressured into doing something that I am against.
