The school board has officially approved our production of Almost, Maine. I am deeply thankful for the 2,505 people who recognized the importance of our artistic expression. We will now turn our full attention to rehearsals to ensure this play honors the trust you placed in us.
Sign this petition if you believe the theater group at Maiden High School should be able to perform the play Almost, Maine; although the town of Maiden, North Carolina is against some of the content in the play. Let us express ourselves like we love to do onstage and off! PLEASE SIGN AND HELP US.
The momentum surrounding our petition shows how deeply this community values artistic expression. If you have not yet reached out to a neighbor or friend to explain why this play carries such significance, please take a moment to do so now. Reaching our next goal will demonstrate the true scale of the support for these students.

It doesn't matter if there is a gay couple. Love is love, and I say, let the students put on the play!

My children's high school performed this adorable play a few year ago and it went over well with everyone. The content is appropriate for audiences of all ages. It celebrates love in many forms but is not sexually explicit.
